Why This Exists

Gold Regime is a free, open-access gold market regime detection dashboard. It combines over 30 live metrics — spanning volatility indices, cross-asset correlations, CFTC positioning data, and macro indicators — to classify the gold market into one of twelve distinct behavioral states in real time. No signup required. No paywall. No ads.

Why It Was Built

Most gold analysis tools show you what gold is doing — the price, maybe a chart, maybe a moving average. They rarely tell you why. Gold Regime was built to fill that gap: to identify which market mechanism is currently driving gold's behavior and what that implies for positioning.

The framework is based on the observation that gold does not move randomly. It cycles through recognizable regimes — sometimes driven by yen carry trade dynamics, sometimes by central bank accumulation, sometimes by algorithmic cascade selling. Each regime has a distinct fingerprint that can be detected from publicly available data. The dashboard makes that detection available to anyone.

Technical Stack

Built with Next.js, deployed on Vercel, with Supabase for caching. Market data sourced from Yahoo Finance, FRED, CFTC, and other public APIs. AI assistant powered by OpenRouter. The dashboard is designed to run within free-tier limits of all services.
